First Snow

Everybody knows Sweden is a cold country. But this year I was surprised by how early the first snow fell! Yesterday my day started off like this:

Today, some of the snow melted in the afternoon sun... It was a beautiful sight!

My swedish class is going well. Today I gave a presentation of how to take better pictures, and I used my own pictures to illustrate the points. To my delight, my speech was well received.

On the job front, it was not so smooth today. I got blamed by my client for things that were not my fault. She was angry and even called my boss to complain. I got very sad about this. But luckily I could divert my attention to my afternoon class and I actually had some fun there. Finally it was a visit to the forest and meditation that refreshed my soul.

Autumn Delights

Dear friends, I haven't been around for quite some time. For your pleasure I have posted a collection of my recent autumn photography. Autumn is my favorite season for photography... and it doesn't take much to understand why!

Last weekend was my husband's birthday and we celebrated for three days! It was a lot of fun. Besides going to two very nice restaurants, we also went to see the Roman Polanski movie "The Pianist." It is such a touching movie. A very tragic story authentically portrayed, and the piano music of Chopin from the movie has been playing in my head during the whole week.

My work has been making me busy! So far things have been fine at work and I get along with my colleagues fine. They have certainly made me speak a lot more Swedish than I was used to. In the next couple of weeks things will get tougher as I will be working toward deadlines and with clients who love to procrastinate!

Haven't been around your sites as much as I would love to. Despite that I have been thinking of you and missing you. Hope you are dong fine. Until next time. Enjoy the fall!
